§ 2.3. Duties of the Mayor

A)

The Mayor shall be a member of the Council and shall preside over meetings of the Council; and shall have all the powers, rights, and duties of a member of the Council, including the same voting rights as any Council Member.

B)

The Mayor shall be recognized as the head of the Town government for all ceremonial purposes and shall execute and authenticate legal instruments requiring the signature of the Mayor. The Mayor shall have such other powers as may be conferred upon the Mayor by the Council so long as those powers are not in conflict with the provisions of this Charter.

C)

The Town Council may, for specific and limited purposes, delegate certain non-legislative duties of the Mayor to the Town Manager or other employees of the Town.
