§ 2.4. Mayor Pro Tem

  • By affirmative vote of a majority of the entire Council at the first regular or special meeting of the Council following a regular election, a Mayor Pro Tem shall be selected from among the Council Members for a term of two (2) years to perform all duties and have all powers of the Mayor as set forth in Section 2.3, in the event the Mayor is temporarily absent or unable to perform the duties of the office. If the office of Mayor Pro Tem becomes vacant, then the Council shall elect another Mayor Pro Tem to serve for the remainder of the unexpired term of office of Mayor Pro Tem.
