§ 2.5. Terms of Office

A)

The terms of office for Council Members shall be four (4) years.

B)

The terms of office for the Mayor shall be four (4) years.

C)

The Mayor and each Council Member shall take office at the first regular or special meeting of the Council following their election and shall continue in office until successors have been elected and take office or until a vacancy is declared.

D)

Before taking office, the Mayor and each Council Member shall take and file with the Town Clerk an oath or affirmation to support the United States Constitution, the Colorado Constitution, the Charter, ordinances and resolutions of the Town, and to faithfully perform the duties of the office.
